After ten years of activity and remark in the Portuguese editorial panorama, Edições Caixotim follows the objective of making possible to all readers - from bibliophiles, teachers, literature specialists until the great public - the fruition of an ensemble of books that always distinguish themselves by their editorial and graphic quality. According to this purpose, we have been publishing works related with the recently created collections, favouring areas like literature (classic and modern authors), historiography and essay (literary and of ideas), with an incursion on the Portuguese fiction and in the plastic arts. Composing and presenting book work, according to the parameters of editorial exigency and graphic quality (but also trying to be useful to the Portuguese culture) this is the goal of the Edições Caixotim, a publisher that entail to on OPorto’s tradition and in the knowledge of those that, since a secular past, believe in the divine strength of the black art…
By presenting its general catalogue, the Edições Caixotim wants not only to reveal the ensemble of its editions, in a new way of technology and beyond frontiers, but also to facilitate the access to all interested people in any book, in a fastest way according to the advantageous conditions indicated in the commercial area.
The Edições Caixotim hopes that this effort in the net contributes to increase the number of those who have shown interest and care about a project that lives, mainly, of the extraordinary and secular legacy which is the Portuguese language, that the work of several different authors present on this catalogue (poets, writers, essayists, investigators and university teachers) confers a singular outline of identity.
